Mr. Fernandez is a co-founding partner of the firm. In addition to being the firm’s Audit team leader for the Vancouver office, as a Forensic Accountant, he is engaged as expert witness for claims at the Supreme Court of British Columbia. He is a Licensed Public Practitioner in both Ontario and British Columbia and has 30 years of Practical Experience.
Jim sits in various Corporate and Not-for-Profit Boards, as well as at the CPA-BC Public Practice Committee, and the Independence Task Force constituted by the Public Trust Committee of Canada. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Food Processing Engineering and a MBA degree from Brigham Young University. He also has designations as Chartered Professional Accountant, Licensed Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, and completed the courses of the Chartered Business Valuator designation.
Jim’s expertise includes assurance services for public listed, private held and nonprofit organizations, both locally and offshore. He also, provides advisory services to organizations in transition during their merger & acquisition stages, corporate restructuring and business internationalization.
