Julio Young joined Fernandez Young LLP in 1993 and is the firm’s Tax Partner. He is also a director of FY International and a member of its International Tax Advisory Group.
Prior to joining FY, he was a Corporate Controller with a prominent real estate development company located in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a partner in Fernandez Young LLP, Julio is involved in tax planning in all areas of personal, corporate and estate taxation, in particular, advising on real estate tax issues and establishment of resident and non-resident trusts and offshore corporations for professionals and owner managers with cross border transactions.
As a member of the Tax Group of FY International, Julio coordinates and participates in the delivery of services to Latin America and other non-resident clients seeking international tax advice. His fluency in Spanish and Cantonese gives him an advantage in advising non-resident clients on the most effective structures for carrying out business in Canada. Julio obtained his CGA designation in 1987, and continues to maintain the highest professional development standards, such as, he is a graduate of the two-year CICA In-Depth Tax Course.
